펜탁스의 괴물 보급기, K-x 출시 초읽기

그간 비리비리하게 회사가 망하네 망하지 않네 하던 펜탁스가 K-7 이후로 연달하 히트작을 내놓으려나봅니다. 독일의 digitalkamera.de 쪽에 펜탁스 초경량 보급기 K-m의 후속 모델 정보가 올라왔는데, 상당히 구체적이고 신뢰성있어서 소개해드립니다.

일단 8월 18일에 프랑스 Réponse Photo 잡지 9월자에 펜탁스의 신기종이 나온다는 말이
적혀있던게 루머의 시작입니다. 그리고 뒤를 이어 8월 19일에 3주전 벨기에 펜탁스 판매상이 9~10월 쯤 로우엔드 DSLR이 한대 나올거라고 확인해줬다는 글이 올라왔습니다.

04년 9월 13일에 *istDS가, 06년 9월 13일에 K10D가, 08년 9월 22일에 K-m이 나왔으니 올해 9월 13일~22일 사이에 뭔가 하나 나오지 않겠느냐는 예상도 나왔지요.

9월 12일에는 좀 더 구체적이고 공식적인 정보가 나왔습니다. 독일쪽 펜탁스 프리젠터가 K-x 티저 포스터를 보여주며 K-x는 K-m의 후속기이고, K200D의 후속은 아니라고 밝혔다네요. 그리고 반드시 라이브뷰가 들어가며 방진방적이 아닐 가능성이 높다고 말했데요. 이 정보를 토대로 "라이브뷰가 돌아가야하니 기존 K20D/K-7에 사용한 1450만 화소 삼성 센서가 들어가지 않겠냐"라는 예상 스펙이 대략적으로 나왔지요. 근데 이날 저녁 익명의 정보통이 저 스펙이 틀렸다고 확인해줬다네요. 그럼 답 나오죠.

지금 펜탁스가 가진 선택권은 3가지입니다. K10D, K200D에 들어갔던 소니의 1000만화소 CCD 센서를 사용하느냐, 니콘 D90, D300등에 들어갔던 소니 1200만화소 엑스모어 센서를 사용하느냐, 아니면 K20D, K-7에 들어갔던 삼성 1450만화소 센서를 사용하느냐. 여기서 라이브뷰가 가능해야하니 스펙상 불가능한 소니 1000만화소 센서는 탈락입니다. 그리고 아까 위에서 1450만화소 삼성 센서가 아니라고 밝혔으니 1200만화소 소니 센서를 사용하는걸로 잠정적 확정이지요. 펜탁스가 여태 소니 1200만화소 센서를 쓴 카메라를 한대도 내놓지 않았지만, 지금 시점에서 1200만화소 센서 가격이 상당히 떨어졌을것이므로 신빙성 있다고 봅니다. 그리고 1200만화소 소니 센서는 이미 D300s 등에 적용되어 1280x720p 24fps 촬영이 가능한 고성능 센서지요.

그리고 9월 16일에 루머가 하나 더 올라옵니다. 9월 17일에 가격대 성능비가 높은 펜탁스 신기종이 나올거라는 말을 판매상에게 들었다네요. 그리고 독일 펜탁스가 K-x가 9월 17일에 발표된다고 로드쇼 배너를 걸었답니다. 아이구 사진이나 한장 올려주지.

그리고 오늘, 09년 09월 17일자로 상세 스펙과 사진들이 흘러나오기 시작했습니다. 아마 몇시간 후에 공식 발표가 있지 않을까 예상합니다. 일단 쿨하게 사진 먼저 보지요.

예전 K-m과 형태가 거의 똑같습니다. 군함부 아래쪽과 오른쪽 어께 부분에 마이크/스피커로 보이는 구멍이 몇개 생긴거 빼고는 외관상 차이를 발견하기 힘듭니다. 후면부의 버튼 배치가 약간 변한것도 눈에 띄네요. 라이브뷰가 생겼고, 삭제 버튼이 플래시 업 버튼과 겸해서 들어갔네요. AF버튼 아래에 AE-L 문자가 들어간것도 눈에 띕니다.

또한 색의 다변화가 눈에 띄는데요, 과거 K-m이 블랙/화이트/올리브였던것에 비해 이번건 군청색과 적색이 추가되었네요. 호야에 인수된 이후로 펜탁스 제품군이 굉장히 공격적으로 나오고있습니다.

겉모양은 별로 변한것 없으니 이제 속을 까봐야죠. 전체 스펙 나갑니다.

요약하면 이렇습니다.

저 1200만화소 센서는 D300s에 들어간 소니 센서일 확률이 높습니다. 동영상 스펙도 1280x720p에 24프레임이니 D300s와 동일하지요. 근데 ISO 지원 부분은 좀 의문입니다. D300s의 경우 ISO가 기본 200-3200이고 확장 100-6400인데 얘는 기본 6400에 확장 12800까지 올라가거든요. 이건 센서 하드웨어적인 스펙 부분이라 정말 미묘합니다. 뻥일 가능성, 혹은 약간 잘못 나왔을 가능성이 있다고 봅니다. 다른 소스에서 나온 자료를 보면 확장 200-6400이라고 나옵니다.

K-7이 77분할 측광이었던것에 비해 기존의 것을 활용한 16분할 측광은 신뢰성있고요, 다만 +/- 3까지 노출 보정이 되는건 의문입니다. 다른 소스의 자료를 보면 +/- 2라고 나와있는데 이게 맞지 않을까 생각. 거기 더해 신기한 부분은 셔터속도입니다. 보급기 주제에 1/6000sec을 지원합니다. 이 부분은 펜탁스의 오래 묵은 1/4000sec 셔터박스를 사용하지 않고 새로 개발했다거나, 아니면 K-7에 사용한 1/8000sec 셔터박스를 기능제한해서 만든것 같아보입니다. 셔터음은 상당히 조용해질거라 예상합니다.

그리고 동영상이 압권인데요, 1280x720p의 완전 HD 촬영이 가능합니다. 다만 프레임수는 초당 24프레임까지입니다. 이건 D300s와 완전 동일환 스펙이지요. 이건 뭐 윗기종인 K-7을 넘보는 수준의 하극상입니다. 저게 가격이 얼마에 풀릴지는 모르겠지만 지금 봐서 100만원 이내에 나오면 전세계 보급기 시장은 쓸린다고 봐도 과언이 아닙니다.

비록 기대하던 틸트/스위블형 LCD를 안달고 나왔지만 참 괜찮은 스펙으로 나왔네요. 펜탁스가 살아나려면 보급기에서 승부를 걸어야 할텐데, 올해 제법 경쟁력있게 나와 기대됩니다.
